Established in 2011, TeaVivre is located in Deyang, China and prides itself as a tea company which personally visits each tea garden in order to find botanicals grown under premium and pristine conditions.
A Passion for Chinese Tea
These sources are included in their product descriptions, to show customers everything they need to know about the origins of the tea.
TeaVivre is a company dedicated to Chinese tea, founded by Angel Chen, who travels throughout many regions to discover the best tea producers and farms. This visceral experience is treasured by Angel, as it brings her closer to nature and the understanding of a tea farmer.
Describing these places as private retreats from the rest of the world, TeaVivre believes that bringing the tea to the consumer is the closest thing to experiencing these rich environments in person, as the tea embodies the essence of each and every tea garden.
Teavivre believes that the finest teas are produced in China and they themselves offer a vast array of high quality Chinese tea, while recognizing the growers at the same time.
TeaVivre doesn’t want to be like a wholesale company who only cares about selling a cheap product with a large profit margin. Rather, they state that they know TeaVivre will not become a household product, like something you’d see in every grocery store, and they’re fine with that.
TeaVivre’s Selection Process
With a focus on providing the finest tea they encounter, Angel Chen visits the tea gardens and makes sure that she purchases botanicals from the best farms, which have in turn have used the best water and the best processes.
The tasting of the tea is only one aspect in her journey to procure the highest quality product.
Angel and her husband Chris visit the gardens together. She tastes the tea while Chris takes the photos, both at the tea gardens as well as during the process back in their facility, where the tea samples are tasted and photographed again.
Together they have an agreement to ensure that TeaVivre will be their career until they retire.
TeaVivre’s Superfine Taiwan Ali Shan Oolong Tea received the Gold Medal in Light Oolong at the Golden Leaf Awards in Australia in 2017.
They also won the Silver Medal in 2017 for their Nonpareil Taiwan DaYuLing High Mountain Cha Wang Oolong tea at the Global Tea championship Competition.
Their Superfine Jasmine Downy Dragon Pearls Green Tea won second place at the Gold Medal Tea Competition in Canada in 2016 and their Premium Jasmine Dragon Pearls Green Tea was awarded 2 stars at the Great Taste Awards in the United Kingdom in 2017.

Organic Matcha Green Tea Powder
Shade grown and typically harvested in May, young tea buds and leaves are lightly steamed to prevent fermentation, which also produces the bright green color and sweet vegetal flavor. Then they are dried and powdered to create Matcha green tea powder.
Sourced from the Jinshan Organic Tea Garden in Wuyuan County, Jiangxi Province, China, this organic Matcha is created from fine, smooth powders and has a grassy, seaweed flavor that is fresh and brisk; slightly bitter yet followed by a sweet aftertaste.
Perfect for a tea ceremony or to enjoy anytime through the day.
Organic White Peony (Bai MuDan) Tea
TeaVivre’s loose White Peony tea is organic and was named for its silver buds and green leaves. The buds unfurl when brewed, like a flower in early bloom. Once brewed, this tea is clear and bright, apricot yellow with a hint of soybean milk aroma.
With a fresh, delicate and sweet scents akin to pekoe, this tea is also mellow. Sourced from the Heshan Organic Tea Garden in Mt. Taimu, Fuding City, Fujian Province, China and crafted from organically grown Fuding Dabaihao leaves at around 800 meters elevation and stored for a year.
Organic Lapsang Souchong Smoky Black Tea
If you’re a lover of deeply rich black tea, then this smoky and fruity blend is for you. With an aroma hinting at a pine wood fire without being overwhelming, this tea tastes soft and mellow with a sweet aftertaste that lingers.
Sourced from the Tongmu Organic Tea Garden in Tong Mu Guan (桐木关), Wuyi Mountain, Fujian Province, China; this product is handmade by a genuine tea master, named Mr. Wen.
He uses traditional methods with at least 20 procedures, including cooling, withering, rolling, fermentation, drying etc.
If you’re a serious connoisseur of Chinese tea, then TeaVivre is definitely a tea brand worth checking out. The fact that they take such pride in their selections and are passionate about raising the profile of their local growers is a testament to their dedication to providing fine Chinese tea.
