There’s just something about a copper tea kettle, isn’t there? Not to mention the kind that can stay in a family for a long time, developing a unique patina as the years pass through it like so many cups of boiling water, destined for tea glasses.
Now, most of us are never going to own a $700 kettle, so that’s why we can oogle at pictures online, instead. Any remarks about this kettle are just observations, I don’t own one, and I can’t imagine the folks at JB are in any kind of hurry to start giving them away, either.
Now, the Jacob Bromwell Pioneer Tea Kettle isn’t for everyone. Some people prefer an electric tea kettle, whether it’s a low-priced one, or a high-end unit. Here are some other copper tea kettles if this one’s out of your budget.
If you were going to drop hundreds on a kettle, would you rather have something like this copper, handmade heirloom piece that we’re about to check out, or something more modern and technological like the One Touch by Breville?
There’s no right or wrong answer, but it’s not hard to tell which one would look better on your kitchen shelf…
The Pioneer Copper Tea Kettle
Not only does this kettle look like an antique from the olden days, it’s made like one, too. Handmade, by up to 5 different craftspeople in America, these kettles are a throwback to the Pioneer days, a simpler time in some ways, and not so much in others.
It works on stovetops, campfires, and fireplaces alike. For $700, it should tuck in you and sing you a lullaby too. None the less, it’s a super high quality product, and there’s something something cool about having something that’s hand-made, whether it’s Material Matcha tea, a pure copper kettle, or even a home-cooked meal.
If you prefer something that’s built like a tank and will last forever, it’s probabally safe to assume that the electronics in something like the One Touch are going to fail eventually, but it’s hard to imagine a reliable copper tea kettle failing on you, right? Anyways, whichever your preference is, check this beautiful kettle out…
While it is beautiful and a true work of art, the Pioneer kettle isn’t the most practical purchase for most people. If you’re looking for a more affordable copper kettle, we’ve put together a resource where we found the best copper tea kettle for the money.
