Tea for the Troops and Honorable Mentions
One of the programs at Bigelow Tea involves supplying tea to the troops in Afghanistan, Germany, Iran, Korea and the United States, with almost 5 million bags having been distributed.
The Bigelow family decline to sell the special blends in stores out of respect for the troops, saying that Tea for the Troops is a thank you to all the men and women in uniform.
In October 2017, Bigelow Tea was inducted into the American Manufacturing Hall of Fame. They were also recognized for their healthy workplace, due to the Bigelow family’s well-being programs promoted in the company.
The Business Council of Fairfield County presented Bigelow Tea with a Platinum Healthy Workplaces Best Practices Award.
