Adagio was founded nearly two decades ago, on the idea of making great teas more accessible to the masses.
One of the ways they’ve done that is through a selection of iced teas that they offer, which come as a series of unique blends, in separate bags so it’s just as easy as using any old tea bags for making your iced tea, but with the quality of loose leaf tea.
Adagio recently reached out to send over some of their teas and accessories, including the following:
Depending on where you’re from, it may or may not be common to add a lot of sugar into your iced tea. If you’re looking to cut back on your sugar intake, unsweetened iced tea is great to have on hand.
Adagio’s Unsweetened Iced Teas Made a Delicious Brew
If you’ve had plain unsweetened iced tea, and it lacked that little extra oomph, then a flavored iced tea might be more up your alley. Little pieces of strawberry, citrus peels, blueberries, and a lot more go into making these delicious blends. There’s dozens to choose from, and they’re all unsweetened and sugar free.
The peppermint one is really delicious. It says to steep it overnight, but if you’re impatient, it still manages to let out a lot of really nice flavors after just a couple of hours (Don’t ask how I know this……..)
If you’re curious how much sugar is actually in a ‘sugar free’ iced tea like this, it’s the tiniest amount of a fraction, and not even close to the Government’s limit on what is allowed to be called ‘sugar free’, it has much, much, less than the allowed amount to still fall under the no sugar banner. Here’s proof!
How to Make These Iced Teas:
We’re also going to be checking out Adagio’s Iced ingenuiTEA tea maker, it’s a handy little gadget for making iced tea, especially with loose leaf tea.
You can use the ingenuiTEA, but you can also just drop a bag of this tea into a large jar, a pitcher, or whatever else you have on hand. All of the leaves stay inside the bag, so you don’t have to worry about filtering them out afterwards, which is why I think the ingenuiTEA is perfectly suited for loose leaf iced teas, but not really necessary for pre-bagged ones.
These bags have a very fine mesh, we didn’t get end up with any little pieces of broken leaves in our tea, not to mention that the leaves used for this tea are of quality, and not small little dusty leftovers.
